Interview with Theyseek.

First of please introduce yourself and your site to our readers?

My name is Doug and I am responsible for placing several of the "waldo" images on the original milliondollarhomepage.com. Every great puzzle should have a "where's waldo" and the milliondollarhomepage.com reminded me of a great puzzle when I first saw it in December.

Most people have been inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage, where did you get your inspiration from?

I am in the camp of Million Dollar Homepage fans. I was intrigued by the originality of the site and the offer of advertising outside the confines of "main street".

What software do you use to run your pixel page and why did you choose it?

While I was inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage, I didn't think that advertisers would continue to buy ads that could only be found with a microscope. I have larger images on my front page that I insert by hand.

What makes your site different or special, what angle have you taken for your Pixel page?

I think that people can have fun with my site because I offer a cross breed between conventional online ads and the type pf ads found on the original milliondollarhomepage.com. I also offer an extremely interactive site and the typical page view for a visitor to my site is higher than the normal pixel ad site.

The original pixel page generated traffic mainly through viral marketing mainly spawned by media interest, how do you generate traffic to your site?

My waldo images on milliondollarhomepage.com continue to bring a larger percentage of the visitors to my site. Many other websites have picked up on my waldo banner and have displayed it on their sites. Hopefully, these visitors will be entertained and intrigued enough to choose to come back on a regular basis.

What do you offer potential advertisers, how much do you charge and how much traffic do you envisage an advertiser could generate by advertising with you?

My mission is to create a dynamic and cost-effective way for entrepreneurs to raise their visibility with online audiences. My sponsors enjoyed over 50,000 page impressions in the most recent month and an average of 300 visitors to their respective sites. As my site has grown with advertisers, some of those numbers are getting diluted. However, I do believe that if I continue to add creative content to my site, those page view numbers and visitor numbers can continue to grown.

Currently the top 5 Alexa ranked pixel sites enjoy a lot of interest from the public. How long do you think this will last, is there a long term future for pixel pages?

I think that the creative, original pixel sites will continue to attract visitors and be a very effective place for ad dollars.

Besides your own pixel page, which other pixel page do you secretly admire and why?

I think "theme" centered pixel sites have great potential as an advertising venue if they can establish themselves as the leader in their field. Two that I admire in that category are the www.bluechiphomepage.com and www.simplypixel.com. I think sites that offer creativity and originality also have very bright futures. www.virtualworldrealestate.com is and example in this area and has sold a ton of ads. Of course, pixel sites that have a large presence on the original milliondollarhomepage.com should continue to enjoy great success
