Interview with Tupaginamillonaria.

First of please introduce yourself and your site to our readers?

My name is Tania, and I live in the Republic of Panama. Panama is in Central America and it is the home to the Panama Canal. (yes, the site is in Spanish, 2nd most spoken language in the world). I got accepted to a Masters Degree Programme in Europe and I am very exciting about studying there. Europe is very expensive nowadays, so I am trying to get some money in order for me not to be broke and in debt during and after the Programme. Also, If I seel the 1,000,000 pixels on my page, Tu Pagina Millonaria, I will donate 5% of the earning to other students that want to pursue a University Degree.

Most people have been inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage, where did you get your inspiration from?

I got inspired by Alex Tew and his Million Dollar Homepage.

What software do you use to run your pixel page and why did you choose it?

I run Texmedia's software. The only thing was, I had to localize the software because Spanish is not included in it. This took me several hours of testing and translating.

What makes your site different or special, what angle have you taken for your Pixel page?

Well, if I get to the 1,000,000 sold pixels goal, I will donate 5% of the earnings to Latin American students that are finishing or have finished high school and wish to educate themselves. Also, I will be writing a BLOG with some research, articles, photos, etc.

The original pixel page generated traffic mainly through viral marketing mainly spawned by media interest, how do you generate traffic to your site?

I am listing the site on every search engine possible, I am linking myself to targeted Hispanic sites to give it more exposure in the Latin-American market, and yes, I am sending e-mails. I just finished emailing all my friends and those Whom I know have websites and would like to be promoted and acquire their pixel blocks. I also have a Free Zone of pixels, it is very limited but it is there for those that wish to promote themselves. (I do not accept any adult content images or links, thank you).

What do you offer potential advertisers, how much do you charge and how much traffic do you envisage an advertiser could generate by advertising with you?

I charge $1 per pixel, there will be some discounts, the page will be up for a minimum of 5 years!!!! I cannot predict how much traffic will I get on the page, but I am doing the impossible to have it marketed!!

Currently the top 5 Alexa ranked pixel sites enjoy a lot of interest from the public. How long do you think this will last, is there a long term future for pixel pages?

I am glad for them, but I would like the public to come and enjoy my page as well :) I could not tell you exactly how long will the pixel popularity last, things change quickly, but if you spice it up a little bit and make it interesting, then it could become a potential long-term relationship on the cyberspace.

Besides your own pixel page, which other pixel page do you secretly admire and why?

I admire the Million Dollar Homepage because he had guts.
